Young Members In Action
Southern Pine Electric is proud to introduce Young Members in Action, a program designed to recognize and celebrate the outstanding young people in our community who make a difference through volunteer service. Each month, we will spotlight a student or group of students on our social media accounts, sharing their inspiring efforts to help their friends and neighbors.
Eligibility
- Nominees must be students (elementary through high school) who live within the Southern Pine Electric service area.
- Individuals or groups of students (such as school clubs, church groups, sports teams, or youth organizations) are eligible.
- Volunteer work must benefit the community and demonstrate a commitment to helping others.
Nomination Process
- Any Southern Pine Electric member can submit a nomination.
- Nominations must be submitted through the form available at southernpine.coop.
- The nomination should include:
- The nominee’s name(s) and school or organization and description of volunteer efforts and how they are making a positive impact.
- A photo (optional but encouraged)
Selection & Recognition
- A nominee will be selected each month and featured on Southern Pine Electric’s Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
- Selected students or groups will be recognized for their hard work and dedication to serving others.
- Special recognition may be given at Southern Pine Electric events or meetings.
- Examples of qualifying work include organizing a food drive, helping clean up parks, schools, roadways, or community spaces, assisting the elderly, raising funds or collecting items for local shelters or nonprofits, tutoring or mentoring peers, or any other project that positively impacts our community.
