Severe storms are possible Wednesday night (11/27/24) into Thanksgiving Day for most of the state.
Damaging winds and hail are possible. Tornadoes can't be ruled out.
Stay safe if you're traveling this Thanksgiving!
Have multiple ways to receive weather alerts.
Heavy rain will be possible in the Pine Belt early Tuesday morning. This could lead to localized flooding of roadways, especially in urban and low lying areas. If venturing out, please use caution and avoid flooded roadways.
Southern Pine is pleased to announce a new program, “Young Members in Action,” designed to recognize the children of our members who are in grades 7–12 and demonstrate outstanding qualities. The program will focus on empowering the next generation of leaders across the Southern Pine service area—young people who are making a difference in their communities with a positive, kind attitude. We believe we have some of the best kids in the state, and this program will honor them through community and media recognition.
Each student selected will receive leadership opportunities during select Southern Pine meetings, personalized rewards, and special recognition for their contributions to making the world a better place.
If you know a young person who is making a difference by volunteering, helping others, working on neighborhood projects, or simply showing kindness by encouraging others, we want to hear about them! Please send us their name, school of attendance, and grade level. Be sure to include a brief description of how the student is making an impact, and fill out the nomination form at www.southernpine.coop/youngmembers.
Help us share the good news about some truly great kids!
