COMMUNITY OUTREACH

1

Member Circle

Member Circle events are a time of food, fun and fellowship with you, our members. These events, held in the counties we serve, give the Southern Pine team a chance to hear from you. During Member Circle, the Southern Pine team shares news and information that impacts you. We also get the chance to hear what's on our members minds. We love our members and are always looking for new ways to find out how we can better serve you.

4

Cold Feet Hurt

Every year the employees and directors donate socks and other personal care items to shelters and nursing homes in the counties we serve. Over the years, Southern Pine has donated thousands of pairs of socks to help those in need. The annual campaign runs from November through February.

2

Cooperative Day of Service

Cooperative Day of Service is a day set aside by Cooperative Energy to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his focus on service. Southern Pine participates in this event each year by serving those in our community who need us. We’ve participated in highway clean-up projects, demolition and renovation projects for shelters and drug recovery centers and worked with the students at Piney Woods School on campus beautification projects.

3

Stuff-a-Truck Food Drive

We are honored to support local food banks in the communities we serve by hosting Stuff-a-Truck food drives. We work with local grocery stores to hold the food drives at their location. Shoppers who wish to donate can just add a few items to their grocery purchases as they shop and drop them off on the way out. All donations are given to a local food bank to help our members who need them most.
